ARTISTIC DIRECTOR / BALLET MASTER

Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Norton trained at the School of Ballet Vera Bublitz, The School of Ballet Bolshoi in Brazil and School of The Washington Ballet. Following graduation,

Norton joined The Washington Ballet where he later became a leading dancer. Through his

career Norton was a leading dancer in companies such as Sao Paulo Companhia de Dança in

Brazil, Tulsa Ballet in USA, Dortmund Ballet in Germany and Ballet du Capitole in France

also dancing around the globe as a principal guest artist.

His repertoire includes principal roles in major productions such as “Don Quixote” by Anne

Thomas Klein, Tatiana Leskova, Cecilia Kerche, Ben Huys, Lars Van Cawemberg, among others.

 

Norton received many awards at international ballet competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix, World Ballet Competition and The Festival International of Joinville. He has also been invited to perform as a Principal Guest Artist in companies such as Ballet Hawaii, Okinawa Ballet Company in Japan and Tulsa Ballet. He has also performed in galas worldwide including The Rudolf Nureyev Gala in Italy, “10th Latino Americana Gala de Asunción” in Paraguay “YAGP Gala Stars of Today Meet The Stars of Tomorrow” , “All Stars of Dance” in USA, “Etoile Ballet Gala” in Sweden , “Etoile Ballet Gala” in Latvia, “XXIV International Ballet Festival of Miami” in USA, among others.

 

He is also enrolled in the University in Business and Management at Open University and is completing a Master of Arts at the University of Palluca in Germany.
